- The primary factor in this patented two-way mixing action is gravity. Because its turning drum is mounted on an incline, feed flows to the back where it is scooped up and dropped into the auger, which moves it forward.
- With the discharge door closed, the feed flows back into the hopper and moves back to repeat the process.
- With the drum quietly turning at four revolutions per minute, feed is thoroughly and completely mixed. To discharge the mixed ration, simply open the discharge door. No reversing action or high maintenance, unnecessary moving parts are required in this design.
- Oversized scoops are secured with stainless steel hardware allowing them to be replaced when required.
- Drum rollers are lubricated from the front of the mixer. Some bearings have remote grease zerks.
- Standard on each model are magnets on the chute and an efficient, easy to operate manual discharge door.
- A super strong, quiet synthetic idler for the main drive chain is fully adjustable, while the drum drive utilizes a spring-loaded idler. All bearings have grease fittings for maintenance.
- Passive ribs disturb the outside of the feed load creating a secondary mixing action. All parts that come in contact with feed are finished with a "stick resistant" super strong epoxy powder coating. To reduce clatter, heavy wall PVC pipe is used to encase the auger. It's practical, efficient, and cost effective.
- A heavy 3/8" thick neoprene seal keeps feed in the drum where it belongs.
- Scale digital readout can be mounted remotely on a convenient wall. Optional scales iwth a digital readout monitor not only the total weight but provides guidance in adding vitamins and minerals.
- A weigh bar mounts under the unit at each corner. Adds 4 2/4" to overall height.
