Grain & Seed Mixer Features
The primary factor in our patented two-way mixing action is gravity.
With the Gramin mixing drum quietly turning at four revolutions per minute, feed is mixed thoroughly and completely. Because Farm Master’s turning drum is mounted on a slight incline, feed flows to the back of the mixing drum naturally, where it is scooped up and dropped into the central auger, which moves it forward once again. With the discharge door closed, grain or seed flow back into the hopper and forward to repeat the process continually, for a gentle blending action.
To discharge the mixed product, simply open the discharge door. No reversing action or high-maintenance, unnecessary moving parts are required in the Gramin grain mixer’s design.
- Mixing drum sizes from 23 cubic feet (model GBC38) to 400 cubic feet (model GBC640) to accommodate farms and commercial operations of all sizes.
- Passive ribs disturb the outside of the feed load, creating a secondary mixing action. All parts that come in contact with feed are finished with a “stick-resistant” super strong epoxy powder coating. To reduce clatter, a heavy-wall PVC pipe encases the auger.
- Standard on every Gramin model are magnets on the chute and an efficient, easy-to-operate manual discharge door.
- A super strong, quiet, synthetic idler for the main drive chain is fully adjustable, while the drum drive utilizes a spring-loaded idler. All bearings have grease fittings for easy, hassle-free maintenance.
- Oversized scoops are secured with stainless steel hardware for easy replacement when required.
- Drum rollers are lubricated from the front of the mixer and all bearings have remote grease zerks.
- A heavy 3/8" thick neoprene seal keeps grain or seeds in the drum where it belongs.
